The design for Postplatz Liestal convinced the jury with an exciting juxtaposition: there is a new, monolithic residential and commercial building on the square in the incredibly urban, hard environment, while the Orisbach cutting delivers the green counterpart: a lavish park that takes inspiration from the repertoire of the surrounding natural landscapes. The striking cutting in the park is the interface between the station and the old town, an attractive urban green space and valuable natural space within the town: a kind of modern, landscaped moat that does not divide the town\u2019s living spaces; instead it clarifies them and cleverly connects them.<\/p>\n
