With the completion of construction site A in 2019 one of the last modules of the neighbourhood development in Basel\u2019s Erlenmatt area will be finished. Fontana Landschaftsarchitektur has added to the new, dense urban development by giving it the necessary open space. Over the past few weeks several large plane trees with multiple trunks have been planted on Erlenstrasse. They now complement the existing trees on the street and give the building complex an address that is dappled by the shade of these trees. The inner courtyards will soon benefit from light green hues in among the dense urban fabric thanks to the leaves of gleditsias and lime trees. Atriums will let daylight into the buildings. Climbing plants in troughs reach all the way to the top floors in these atriums, giving the appearance of delicate green curtains. In May 2019 the new tenants will move into the new building on \u2018construction site A\u2019.
