Award “Auszeichnung guter Bauten” 2018: Magnetareal Pratteln

Fontana Landschaftsarchitektur received the Award “Auszeichnung guter Bauten 2018” from the cantons of Basel-Landschaft and Basel-Stadt for the design of the Magnetareal in Pratteln.

In its report, the jury praises the opening up of the formerly enclosed industrial site itself and and the new traffic regime. Another aspect that the jury appreciated was the invigorating open space concept with its pedestrian paths and small parks. We are pleased that not only iconic and representative architecture, but also the enhancement of everyday urban spaces is given importance with this award.

We are also pleased to be among the honourees twice in 2018. In addition to the Magnetareal, our project Klybeckquai received an award.
