Since 2008 Fontana Landschaftsarchitektur has been planning open spaces in Switzerland and abroad.
The focus of our interest is on revealing and shaping the inimitable character of the places entrusted to us, based on an aesthetic, spatial and ecological understanding of the landscape.
Reduction to the landscape essentials is our most important tool to concentrate space and atmosphere. Even where the site seems not to lay down any particular thematic treatment, through well-grounded analysis we find a basis for a new interpretation.
In this way our work grows out of the context, and soon becomes the context itself.
Integrated work processes, sustainability, and dialogue with clients, partners and users are important to us.
The spectrum of our activities ranges from urban landscapes, public open spaces such as parks, squares and promenades, as well as the grounds of commercial and residential buildings.
