Award “Auszeichnung guter Bauten” 2018: Klybeckquai Basel

Basel’s Klybeckquai was chosen as one of the best buildings in the cantons of Basel-Landschaft and Basel-Stadt.

Every five years, the two Basel cantons jointly award the best building project with the „Auszeichnung guter Bauten“ – which of course also includes built landscapes. In the case of Klybeckquai, the judges praised the transformation of the enclosed harbour quarter into a temporary promenade that offers space for new types of leisure, while the decades of industrial use remain tangible.

We are delighted to be among the award winners twice in 2018. In addition to the Klybeckquai, the Magnetareal in Pratteln also received an award.
