Basel Tree Protection in Zurich
It was an informative event with illustrious experts ranging from the biologist Dr. Susanne Böll, who heads the research project “Stadtgrün 21” at the Bavarian State Institute for Viticulture and Horticulture, to the sponge city specialists Stefan Schmidt and Erwin Murer, Christine Radl from the city of Graz and the practitioner Mario Dietrich from the city of Pfaffenhofen to the wildlife biologist Dr. Sandra Gloor to Robert Zeller and Peter Kuhn – documented with unerring irony by live cartoonist Jonas Raeber. It became clear that urban trees do not have an easy life, but also that there are many good solutions – and that there ist still room for improvement.
